All Lagar d´Amprius wines come from vineyards situated in Matarranya (Teruel, Aragon). An extremely limited production of 1,5 kg per vine is carried out in order to obtain high quality grapes.

Vendimia Selección (Grape Harvest Selection) is the fruit of the strict and careful selection of best Gewürztraminer grapes we find in our parcels. An intense, well balanced wine with a good structure and freshness at the same time.

Product Description

Vendimia Selección is the fruit of the strict and careful selection of best Gewürztraminer grapes we find in our parcels. Six years old Gewürztraminer vines are especially cared for obtaining a high quality fruit. An extreme limitation of production of 700 grams per vine

The harvest is always done at night, trying to pick the grapes at the lowest temperature possible. This is a wine that has a positive evolution in bottle for at least five years.

Lemon yellow white wine of medium-high intensity. On the nose it has high aromatic intensity with aromas of fresh white fruit such as pear, grape and lychee. It also shows an intense floral character of elderberry, rose petals and pollen. On the palate it is dry, with medium acidity and well pronounced and structured body. A wine with long lasting and intense taste, showing aromas of fresh fruit and well pronounced floral intensity. This wine also shows a pronounced mineral character with some reminiscences of stone and chalk and having a light saline touch and a little bit of bitterness at the end, very
characteristic of this variety. By time, this wine gains in complexity and elegance.

Excellent to pair with seafood , fish in sauce, battered fish or just fried fish. It also goes well with stewed white meat. Good match with scrambled eggs and black pudding, or with potato and truffle. Surprising match with blue cheese such as Cabrales, Roquefort, Stilton or Gorgonzola.

It will express its full personality in a tall and large glass, and served at a temperature between
7 and 8 ºC
